Kelvin King
Kelvin King grew up in Jamaica, Queens, and has always been a fanatic of the NY Knicks, professional wrestling, and aviation. He began pursuing aviation as a career at 14 at Aviation High School in Queens, earning his airframe and powerplant aircraft maintenance licenses.
He continued training at Dowling College receiving his BBA in Marketing and a minor in Political Science. He finished training at ATP Flight School with the ratings and certificates needed to become an airline pilot. He also served as a cadet in the Air Force Junior ROTC NY 932nd Wing where he developed a professional approach towards life’s matters and eventually became a cadet wing group commander, with a rank of Cadet Major. Kelvin is now a Captain at United Airlines, the Founder & CEO of Alpha Aviation, Inc. and Alpha Drones USA, and he also is President of a 501(c)3, The Sandra Blake Memorial Scholarship Foundation. Still, her hard work, perseverance, dependability, and excellent leadership skills led her to ascend to supervisory and managerial positions, notably as the Supervisor of the Clinical Department and Team Leader of the Clinical Supplies Department.
But Rollande’s commitment to service extends well beyond her professional undertakings. She devoted considerable energy to enhancing educational access and tutoring adults in English, Spanish, and Science at a night school. Her efforts have helped numerous individuals earn their high school diplomas, providing a stepping stone to further educational opportunities.
Rollande’s community involvement is multifaceted and impactful. She has provided emotional support to post-cancer surgery patients as a volunteer at a local hospital, organized fundraising activities for charities in Haiti, and actively participated in local beautification initiatives as an AARP volunteer and neighborhood block association member.
Her civic engagement extends into the political arena, where she has held a secretarial position in a political group, demonstrating her leadership and advocacy skills. She has made significant strides in fostering political awareness and encouraging civic participation.
Rollande has been a dedicated member and Vice President of a non-profit organization for 20 years, where she served as the vice president for five years, where she served underprivileged children in Haiti. The organization is committed to supporting disadvantaged children and fully funds a technical school that equips individuals with self-sustainability skills.
Through each facet of her life, Rollande Jolibois embodies the power of dedication, hard work, and a relentless commitment to service. Her work as a humanitarian represents an empowering educational advocate, a committed community leader, and a genuine humanitarian, underscoring her profound influence in her community and beyond.
